Gard Little

Research Manager, Worldwide Services and Emerging Services Opportunities

Gard Little is a Research Manager with the Global Services Markets and Trends team. Mr. Little works with IDC analysts around the world to research leading global service providers, develop market sizing and spending forecasts, and analyze key developments in the services industry. As lead analyst for IDC's SOA and Cloud Services: The Professional Services Opportunity program, he conducts research and analysis of customer demand and service vendor offerings for consulting and professional services to help design and execute on a cloud strategy. SOA, as an important enabler of IT cloud services, is analyzed in this context.

Mr. Little has over twenty years of business and information technology experience as a consulting executive. While at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he co-authored Information Leadership, which described his work with CIOs and senior executives on creating information leadership teams. He has helped organizations such as Harvard Business School and eRoom Technology (now EMC) increase their value by implementing strategic information management practices and team collaboration technologies.

Mr. Little earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University with a concentration in the study of high technology firms, and an undergraduate degree from Vassar College in Cognitive Science.
