Overview
This IDC Retail Insights Perspective provides observations on and analysis of Oracle Retail CrossTalk 2012. Oracle Retail's annual retail executive conference was held this year in Chicago on June 26–28. Oracle Retail continues to position its value proposition, "Your Experience Platform," with Actionable Insights, Optimized Operations, and Connected Interactions — the three-legged foundation it introduced a year ago.
Now, a year down this three-lane path, it's clear that Oracle Retail is experienced, as are a growing cohort of its customers. 251 executives from 120 retailers across 18 countries attended the event. Forty-one of these retail executives presented their stories at the event, with a level of detail and preparation that showed their commitment to Oracle as a partner. They found audiences of engaged and inquisitive peers in the sessions we attended.
